Welcome

Hi.  My name is Kristin Sternhagen and I have been playing the piano for almost 40 years now.  Piano has always brought great joy to my life and I absolutely love sharing that joy with my students.  I have over15 years of experience teaching piano to beginning and intermediate students. After earning my B.S. in Education from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 1998, I taught in a small one room school in Nebraska(1998-1999) and then in a large high school in Wisconsin (1999-2000).  In 2000, I moved with my husband Joshua to the beautiful island of Antigua.  While living in Antigua, Joshua and I began our family and I stayed home to take care of our 4 wonderful children.  From 2006 – 2016, I ran a private piano studio in St. John’s Antigua.  By the time my family left Antigua in Oct of 2016, I was teaching over 25 piano students in my studio as well as leading a steel pan group at my church.  
Since returning to the US, I taught Music and English at Rocky Mountain Lutheran High School in Commerce City, CO from 2017 - 2020.  While I loved teaching in the high school setting, I missed teaching piano and decided that it was time to open a studio once again.  In May 2020, I earned a B.A. in Music with an emphasis on Piano from Valley City State University.  In August 2020, I began accepting piano students at Harvest Meadows Piano Studio.  I am once again enjoying the great privilege of  bringing  the joy of piano to my new piano students! 😃
